    Logs

    Our uniform and natural logs can be used for both residential and commercial applications. A few things that we are known for regarding our uniform logs:

    Natural Logs

    We also produce natural logs. These logs are tapered and the size callout is the small end called the "tip". On the average, Cedar logs get 1" bigger every 6 to 8 per lineal ft, whereas, Doug Fir and Pine get 1' bigger every 10 to 12' per lineal foot.

  • SIDING

    Siding

    We produce the most complete line up of log and timber siding in the country. Our siding can be used for both residential and commercial applications. A few things that we are known for regarding our timbers: the hand hewn & hand peel finishes, natural & uniform profiles, long length capability, and the complete line produced in Cedar. Our siding can be used on the interior and/or exterior of a home as full wall siding or as partial walls such as "wainscoting", vertical or horizontal.

    Corners for our log siding are typically a vertical log or timber with a dado cut taken out of the side so it fits onto the exterior edge of a framed wall. You can also use (2) boards. We also can produce false tails for certain sidings.

    Log Siding (uniform)

    We produce the largest choice of uniform siding in the country, especially when it comes to Cedar. All of the uniform log siding match wall log profiles. Minimim run varies from 800 to 1500 lin ft depending on size of profile for a NO CHARGE set up fee. If minimim is not met then a set up fee from $250 to $400 could apply depending on profile.

    We produce natural log siding in a variety of sizes. Natural log siding is always custom quoted and produced based upon the project requirements. No minimum is required.

    NATURAL LOG SIDING PROFILE & SIZE - 8" to 18" tip log all natural log sizes can either be cut flat/flat at a uniform stacking height or left at their natural taper.

    NATURAL LOG SIDING LENGTHS - up to 20' (standard) with the ability to make longer up to 32' (limited to certain sizes and profiles)

    Timber Siding

    We produce a full spectrum of unique profiles of timber and natural edge siding. Certain siding will match timber wall log profiles.

    TIMBER SIDING SQUARE EDGE, SIZE & SPECIES - no minimum

    • 1x3, 1x4, 1x6, 1x8, 1x10, 1x12 timber - board & batten, lap siding, edge to edge siding (vertical or horitontal) (cedar, douglas fir, white fir ponderosa pine)
    • 1x3, 5/4x3 specialty batten (for board & batten profile) - standard square edge or craftsman edge profile with back surface grooved with a channel for ultimate fit

    TIMBER SIDING SHIPLAP T&G, SIZE & SPECIES - Minimim run is 1500 lin ft for a NO CHARGE set up fee. If minimim is not met, then a set up fee from $250 could apply.

    • 1x3, 1x4, 1x6, 1x8, 1x10 timber - edge to edge siding (vertical or horitontal) (cedar, douglas fir, white fir ponderosa pine)

    We produce the full line of standard profiled siding you will find in the market place. These products are made ffrom board stock and are typically net thicknesses. Minimim run is 1500 lin ft for a NO CHARGE set up fee. If minimim is not met, then a set up fee from $250 could apply.

    Railings & Stairs

    Our log & timber stair and railing line up is unmatched in the market. Not only do we produce railing in wood, we also integrate log and timber railing with FORTRESS FE26 steel railing. Cable railing railing is also available. If you have desire for other combinations of rails and pickets in either logs or timbers, we will be glad to accommodate your request.

    Log Railing (Uniform)

    We produce (2) series of log railing in Cedar and Pine: Architectural series & Pro series. We can custom produce almost any size of log rail/picket make up needed. Posts for railing are not part of the system. However, the typical stand alone rail post is a 6" diameter log with a 5" log as the smallest diameter used.

    Log Rail - Architectural Series

    • assembled rail height - 32" & 38" (california compliant)

    We have integrated the FORTESS FE26 steel railing with our log or timber rail tops to make the most unique look. This style of system is typically an outdoor use and desired for its low to no maintenance. We can custom produce almost any size of log or timber rail/picket make up needed. Posts for railing are not part of the system. However, the typical stand alone rail post is a 6" diameter log or a 6x6 timber or you can use the FORTRESS 2x2 or 3x3 steel posts.

    Stairs

    Log Stairs (Uniform)

    We produce (2) type of log stair systems. The most common is where we have (2) log horses notched to accept the half log treads. The other is where we cut a log in half that will capture the log halves in-between them. The stair system is just parts in gross length. Installing the stair system requires a high level of skill. These stair systems are design to meet code with a maiximum of 7.75" riser height. We have no ability to pre-cut.

    Timber Stairs

    Our timber stairs systems are perfect for interior and exterior uses. We can custom develop a unique timber system for you by choosing a size of timber that reflects your taste. These systems are designed with a timber in each outer side of the tread. If you have a desire to notch the horse for the tread, it is easily accommodated by increasing the size of the horse to at least 14" tall.
